Crafting Cozy Hats for Your Dinkum Dolls

Crafting Cozy Hats for Your Dinkum Dolls

Get ready to level up your Dinkum Dolls' winter wardrobe with a touch of DIY magic! Say goodbye to chilly days and hello to cosy vibes as we and @hellominibianco show you how to whip up adorable, no-knit hats that will have your Dinkums looking extra cute and snug. Follow along for a step-by-step guide 🧶❄️

  • Step 01

Measure your Dinkum Doll’s head (leaving an additional 2cm at the end to glue the tab) and cut a cardboard strip to size (approx. 2-3cm wide). With a hot glue gun or stapler, join the ends to make a circle. This will be the base of your knit hat.

Cut 30-40 pieces of yarn that are 40-45cm long depending on the doll's head size and yarn thickness.

  • Step 02

Double up each piece of yarn and make a loop around the piece of cardboard. Pull the ends of the yarn through the loop.

  • Step 03

Repeat Step 2 until the cardboard base is filled. Make sure to pull each piece of yarn tightly so it stays in place.

  • Step 04

Twist and push the ends of the yarn through the hole so you turn the hat inside out.

  • Step 05

Use a piece of yarn to tie a double knot.

  • Step 06

Trim off the excess yarn to create a pompom shape. And voila! A cosy, no-knit hat for your Dinkum Doll.
