Head of Sales Australasia

We are excited to be recruiting vacant position, Head of Sales - Australasia located at our Head Office, Byron Bay. 

If you enjoy strengthening account relations and thrive by implementing and driving strategy to reach your targets - the role is for you!  You will have high standards, enjoy working with people and product whilst bringing a handful of already established account contacts. You will be responsible for the management of our sales team, account relationships, sales performance targets & tradeshows in your territory.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the General Manager and working alongside global sales managers, your key duties are;

  • Establishing, implementing and driving sales strategy across your territory and various sales channels.
  • Management of sales team to ensure monthly targets are met.
  • Meet budgets through strategy, teamwork and savvy business acumen.
  • Forward planning, analysis and prediction of opportunity or risk in the market.
  • Work closely with international retailers and distributors in the Asia Pacific market.  Solutions focused to support growth and sell through in these regions. 
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels within our business, with a focus on developing strategic partnerships and joint business plans.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, meetings and exhibitions.
  • Monitor and report sales on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis across ecom and wholesale channels.
  • Assist in monthly Sales and Inventory forecasting and identifying opportunity to further drive sales.
  • Lead by example, coach and mentor a team of product specialist who are focused and driven by a sales outcome.

Requirements

To be qualified for this role, you will need to have as a minimum:

  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • 5+ years extensive experience in sales and account management, with a proven track record of growing revenue.
  • Understanding of the kids/lifestyle industry is not essential, but you have an appreciation for toys, sustainable product, interiors, homewares, fashion, art or other design-based industries.

In addition you will also be: 

  • A natural leader. You take full ownership and manage effectively between directors, managers and staff.
  • A solutions-focused problem solver. You are super organised and have great time management skills.
  • Commercially savvy, with strong networking skills. You think in opportunities, and are comfortable to (up)sell.
  • A hands-on, get-stuff-done person. You are happy to step in and help out, you tend to pick up the phone instead of sending an email.
  • You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
